In intimate relationships, there are various risk factors for violence. The risk factors include both the individual and the relationship factor. With regards to the individual, low education levels and young age have been shown to make people more intolerable and aggressive. This is also compounded by drug’s harmful effects. Personality disorders and people who were exposed to violence at a tender age are also likely to engage in activities that are violent in nature (Sorenson, 2018).
