According to Roger Parry in his book, “Ascent of Media,” media has been in constant change transforming from the traditional Gilgamesh to Google via Gutenberg.  Through his book, Parry highlights the entire story of media transformation from the earliest incarnation where media content was produced and consumed in the clay tablets of Gilgamesh to the modern digitalization. Parry points out that contrary to the speculations by many that the modern media is on the decline, the modern digital media is on the cusp of a new era characterised by growth, evolution and positive change.
