Lott, J. (2016) authoritatively state what should be done in order to arm ourselves against all the lies that pass as arguments against gun control. There are so many people who are against gun control, people who claim that if there are laws that govern the ownership of guns, only the outlaws will be armed against a defenseless populace. This may seem true at face value, but in the end, the lack of laws has seen so many outlaws have guns in the first place. According to Lott, J. (2016), laws like the compulsory fees for two weeks of training in gun use would really come in handy in preventing accidental gun death. According to him, there were 200 deaths resulting from accidental death from guns which would have been prevented if there was mandatory training on how to use them and how to safely carry concealed guns. This book demystifies the argument by the opponents who argue that the training fees are quite steep for poor people and they will not afford to buy guns. But in the end, more lives are being put in danger from preventable accidental gun discharge that turns fatal.
