In his book, Lott, J. (2003) argues clearly that many arguments against Gun control always do so without considering two sides of the arguments. It is true that when there is gun control, the guns are being taken away from the good people and therefore limiting their abilities to protect themselves against criminals. According to Lott, J. (2003), this arguments overlooks the real laws being advocated for Gun control. Many times, the laws that have been fronted are skewed in favor of stricter laws against guns. This prevent any positive arguments against guns, that they save lives in many instances. But this does not mean that there should be no control over them. This book helps in delving into the gun ownership laws. There are people who should be prevented from owning guns, for example, people who have not yet reached the age of eighteen, those who have misused guns in the past and people who have a violent history.
